The foundry technician is the "little brother" of the foundry mechanic. This 2-year training occupation is for people with a disability for whom training in a recognised training occupation is not possible due to the nature and severity of their disability. Foundry mechanics insert cores, inspect, repair and test castings.

1st apprenticeship year

  • Basic course metal technology
  • Welding
  • Turning
  • Milling
  • Pneumatics
  • Preparation for intermediate examination

2nd apprenticeship year

  • Robotics
  • CNC basic course
