Welding technology for maximum precision and efficiency

The modular welding cell for robot automation

The SpeedCell® is more than just a welding cell: it is the central component of a scalable system for automated resistance spot welding. As a preconfigured unit, it combines robot technology, control, and safety in a cycle-optimized system module: tailored to component diversity and high process frequencies.

Within the SpeedLine® platform, the SpeedCell® forms the basis for integrated joining processes. It is therefore not a stand-alone product, but part of the comprehensive SpeedLine® solutions. This structure enables reproducible quality, short commissioning times, and easy expandability.

Features of our SpeedCell® welding cell

The SpeedCell® is a cycle-optimized welding cell for automated joining processes with high component variance and tight cycle times. Its compact, preconfigured system architecture significantly reduces the project effort involved in automation. All relevant interfaces—mechanical, electrical, and control-related—are defined, coordinated, and prepared for connection.

In combination with robot-guided welding technology, the SpeedCell® enables reproducible process control with minimal downtime. The decentralized control system and clearly structured design simplify operation, shorten maintenance times, and enable rapid line integration – even in limited space.

Space requirement

The SpeedCell® requires around 20% less floor space than conventional welding cells – with comparable performance in terms of welding time, safety, and accessibility.

Cycle time

Optimized signal routing, short response times, and synchronized processes enable cycle time reductions of up to 40% compared to conventional technology.

Line integration

The mechanical, electrical, and safety interfaces of the SpeedCell® are standardized. This allows it to be integrated directly into automated process lines—even retroactively.

Control

Control components are installed decentrally in the cell structure, e.g., in the floor. This reduces the need for control cabinets, simplifies retrofitting, and increases ease of maintenance.

Modularity

The cell is designed for modular expansion. It can be supplemented without structural redesign, e.g., by material feed, visual inspection, or additional automation modules.

Availability

Robust industrial components, low-maintenance guides, and clearly defined service access points guarantee maximum system availability—even in three-shift operation.
